We are not accepting new clients, and will be permanently closed effective April 1, 2023. 

It's never to early to start looking for a pet sitter. Many sitters right now are booking a few months in advance. Most sitters require a meet and greet before accepting work from new clients. If you start your search for a pet sitter a few hours before you are leaving, chances are you won't have any luck. Start your search now, even if you don't have any immediate travel plans. 

Yes we are insured. We have an insurance policy which covers all of our employees, your pets and your property.  You're covered with this great insurance policy. 

Great Question! Job sharing is the practice of employing a Professional Pet Sitter to care for your pets on certain dates/times during one block of time and asking a neighbor or friend to care for your pets on other dates/times during the same block of time. This practice greatly increases liability on the business. That is why many pet sitting companies do not and cannot job share. 

Accidents, or accidental oversights to answer simply. Say a door is inadvertently left open and your pet gets out, or worse items get stolen from your residence? 

What happens if  water is left on accidently at your residence and causes a flood with damage? 

Those questions all equal liability. 

Yes, yes we have. During one service visit we found water left on in a back bathroom. During a separate service we found a backdoor unsecured. We have even found a gas leak. We take care of your house too, enter the Cherry City Pet Pals security check. 

We cannot job share with others who do not have insurance. Our insurance has strict policies about job sharing, there is to much liability. We can consider job sharing with other pet sitting companies, but cannot share a sitting job with someone who is not a pet sitting professional. We also believe it's better for the animals if the same person is caring for them while their human is away. 

Yes, we can check mail, water plants, bring garbage cans to the front of the house on garbage day, and bring them back. These services are included in the service fee, provided that those services can be completed during the time frame that  you booked. If  you need us to check the mail, make sure to provide us with a mail box key and that we know what mail box number is yours. 

We also provide a security check of  your residence at every visit. This includes checking all ingress and egress spots in your residence, checking all windows and making sure water hasn't been left running. We like to be thorough.

No, not unless that person is a Cherry City Pet Pals employee. If the doorbell rings while we are at your residence, we do not answer. The caveat to this is first responders. If the doorbell rings and a first responder is at the door, we answer. 

No. We walk 2 dogs at a time from the same household.  So, if you have more than 2 dogs we recommend you purchase the 60 minute walk so your dogs get a 25 minute walk. 

Yes! You can absolutely mix and match services. For example, if you're traveling and would like your dog to have 4 visits per day, with a one hour visit morning and evening and two 30 minute visits in the middle of the day.  You can do that!

Yes. You will need to e-sign a client agreement/contract, a vet waiver and the cancellation policy when you create your account in Time to Pet. If at anytime these policies get updated you will be prompted to resign the policies the next time you log into Time to Pet. You can view all policies you have signed by logging into your Time to Pet account and clicking on "agreements" at the footer of the page. It's important to know that e-signatures are legal and the agreements you sign are legally binding. They protect you and the employees of Cherry City Pet Pals. We encourage you to ask questions about the agreements if there is anything you would like clarification on. 

Time to Pet is an interactive software designed for pet sitters and their clients. Time to Pet allows for online booking, changes to existing reservations and you can even pay and tip your sitter right from Time to Pet. You will receive a visit report card with photos after every visit (that means you'll get lots of emails if you have multiple visits in a day). After the initial meet and greet, if you decide that Cherry City Pet Pals is your sitter of choice, you'll receive an activation link to set up your account. Once you activate your account, fill in the requested information and start booking services. There's even an app for that! 

Great Question! Log into your Time to Pet account, request the services you want. Make sure you include your anticipated departure/arrival times in the notes field this helps us to make sure we're scheduling your service at the right time. It also helps us so we don't walk in on you. Awkward!

Requests are generally reviewed within 24 hours or the first business day if submitted on a weekend. Once a request is approved or rejected (we only reject requests if we are booked) you will receive a confirmation email which includes your visit dates and time blocks and the total amount due. 

Plans change, we understand that. We respectfully ask that you notify us as soon as possible of the change in your plans. All changes and cancelations should be made in Time to Pet, provided it is not a same day cancelation. 

Please ensure that you are familiar with our cancelation policy, as a cancelation fee could apply. 

We understand plans change, sometimes through no fault of yours. If your plans change, your trip gets extended or if you arrive home earlier than expected, please let us know. We don't like walking in on you, you don't like us walking in on you. It could also be a safety issue for our sitters if we arrive at your residence not expecting anyone to be home and find doors open, an unfamiliar car in the driveway and someone clearly home. Communication is key!
